Felicity (Saadet) Party Women's Branch Chairperson Nurgül Beytiye Ekinci made evaluations about the ‘Reinforced Parliamentary System Consensus Text’ prepared and announced the previous day by the Saadet Party, Republican People’s Party (CHP), Good (IYI) Party, Future (Gelecek) Party, Democracy and Progress (DEVA) Party and Democrat Party (DP). Ekinci noted that the announced text is a promising big step for our country's democracy.

“SOCIETY NEEDS THIS TEXT”

Stating that the society needs such a consensus, Ekinci said, “The Strengthened Parliamentary System Consensus Text, signed by six political parties representing the society in the widest spectrum, has brought forth the hope that Turkey has been needing for years. Six political parties have come together for national interests by taking common responsibility and reconciliation. This meeting is a big step for our country's democracy."

“WOMEN'S EFFECT WILL BE INCREASED IN DECISION MECHANISMS”

Ekinci, with the signed consensus text, stated that for the construction of a pluralistic democratic political system and a strong society, there are policies to strengthen the social, political and economic situation of women.

“Priority has been given to works to increase the influence of women in all decision-making mechanisms in all areas of society and life, and to establish legal and structural requirements in this regard. Violence against women will be effectively combated, and deterrent penalties will be applied immediately for the perpetrators. A fair working life will be established for women. We are together to be a happy country where women, children, young people and all citizens look to the future with hope and social peace and tranquility are established,” Ekinci added.
