Öz İplik İş Union protested the dismissal of its members because they were unionized. The union management, who gathered in front of the factory to protest the dismissal in a textile factory in Zonguldak Çaycuma, noted that its members will fight until they return to work and the obstacles in front of union organization are removed.
CONSTITUTIONAL CRIME IS COMMITTED
In the press statement made in front of the factory, “The workers working at Nersoy Textile became members of our union a while ago. Pressure was put on the workers by employers and employer representatives who were aware of the issue. Workers' constitutional and trade union rights and freedoms were denied. Three of our workers who were members of the union were dismissed. It is a constitutional right to become a member of a union and to withdraw from membership. It is a crime to prevent unionization,” the statement said.
YOU CAN'T STOP UNIONIZATION
In the statement, which was also called upon to the employer, it was noted: “Respect the freedom of employees to join a union. Give up the oppressive attitude. You cannot stand before the Constitution. You cannot stop Öz İplik İş Union. We hope that the process will be smoothed over with dialogue. We underline that this stubbornness will not benefit the parties in any way. We want our workers who were dismissed during this difficult time to return to their jobs,” the statement added.
