Worldwide death toll from Covid-19 rises to 969,303

At least 31,485,777 people have so far tested positive for Covid-19 around the world.

The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.
 
However, the countries began to ease measures against the coronavirus pandemic, which has been severely affecting the world economy.
 
The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of coronavirus related fatalities with 204,506 deaths, followed by Brazil with 137,350 deaths, India with 88,965 deaths and Mexico with 73,697 deaths.
 
On the other hand, scientists are moving at record speed to create a vaccine against the virus, with some 39 vaccine candidates in clinical research, 33 in Phase I–II trials, and 6 in Phase II–III trials.
 
At least 23,113,739 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital worldwide.
