Representatives of non-governmental organizations that support Palestine came together at the iftar program. In the iftar program organized by the Association of Jerusalem and Our History (KUTAD), attention was drawn to what cruel Israel did in Palestine, and it was pointed out that Jerusalem is not just the Palestinians' cause, and that Jerusalem is the cause of all Muslims.
ISRAEL SHED BLOOD IN THE MONTH OF RAMADAN
Speaking at the iftar program, KUTAD Chairman of the Board of Directors Cihat Yağmur stated that the terrorist Israel's policies on Palestine are proof of the cruelty, and said, "Everyone watched what Israel did in Ramadan before the eyes of the world. Israel shed blood in Masjid al-Aqsa. He damaged the Ottoman memory by breaking the windows of Masjid al-Aqsa. Our Palestinian brothers and sisters will continue to protect Jerusalem against any attack."
THE PALESTINE CASE IS ONE OF THE MAIN CASES OF HAK-IŞ CONFEDERATION
Hak-İş Confederation Chairman Mahmut Arslan, who made a speech at the iftar program, expressing that Palestine and Jerusalem are one of the main causes within the their Confederations, Arslan said, “Palestine and Jerusalem have had an important place in the 46-year history of Hak-Is Confederation. Our confederation, together with non-governmental organizations and chambers, broke new ground by establishing the International Union of Supporters for Jerusalem and Palestine. Hak-Is Confederation, especially in Lebanon; By participating in the events held in Tunisia, Sudan and Algeria, it wants to increase the sensitivity of international trade unions on Palestine, to lift the embargo against Palestine, and to struggle to show the world what is happening in Palestine.”
“WE WANT TO BUILD A SEPARATE STRUCTURE REGARDING PALESTINE AND JERUSALEM”
Drawing attention to the need to take more responsibility for Jerusalem, Arslan added, “As Hak-İş Confederation, together with Memur-Sen Confederation, we want to build a separate structure for Palestine and Jerusalem by collaborating with dozens of organizations within the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), the largest workers' organization in the world. This structure will be a structure consisting only of unions. This structure was planned to make not only the trade unions of Muslim societies, but also the workers' organizations of different beliefs and segments all over the world more sensitive to the Palestinian issue. Hak-Is Confederation has put its sensitivity about Palestine into decisions at all international meetings.”
JERUSALEM IS THE CASE OF ALL MUSLIMS
Noting that the protection of Jerusalem and Masjid al-Aqsa is provided by the Palestinians, Cihat Yağmur noted that working for Jerusalem is a form of worship and said, "There, our brothers will continue to protect Jerusalem. Defending Jerusalem is worship for us. We will protect Jerusalem as much as we can, in every way, from everything, you have no doubt about it. Jerusalem is our first qibla. Jerusalem is not just the cause of the people of Jerusalem, it is the cause of all Muslims, it is the cause of free people. The state of persecution lasts for one hour, and the state of faith will survive for a lifetime."
