The program was attended by Free Cause Party (HUDA-PAR) Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, Milli Gazete Editor-in-Chief Mustafa Kurdaş, Dr. Ayatollah Atit from Afghanistan, one of the officials of the Muslim Brotherhood Mithad Haddad, Sudanese scholar Abdulhay Yusuf, one of the leaders of the Egyptian Jamaat-i-Islami Islam al-Gamri, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Ulama Suat Yasin, Chairman of the Palestine Foundation Zeki Abdullah Ibrahim Ararawi.
Addressing the participants of the fast-breaking dinner, HUDAPAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu said, “The Zionists in Palestine have once again crossed the line, they raided the Masjid al-Aqsa as usual. They attacked the congregation there with gas bombs and bullets. We look at the screens in our country, every channel mentions the day of the Russian occupation in Ukraine. They try to create an atmosphere as if the heart of the whole world is beating there by showing an old woman, a small child or an old man who was injured or whose house was destroyed there, by dramatizing the event a little. Whereas Masjid al-Aqsa If we calculate from the British occupation in December 1917, it has been under occupation for 105 years.”
“RUSSIANS ALSO INVADED AFGHANISTAN”
Yapıcıoğlu added, “Unfortunately, the shooting of a woman walking on the street in Palestine or an old man grovelling in a mosque unfortunately does not draw our attention enough. Yes, the Russians are occupiers in Ukraine, they are imperialists, but the same Russians also invaded Afghanistan in 1979. Since then, there has been a war, a conflict, a destruction, a poverty, a deprivation in Afghanistan. 1979 Russian invasion, 2001 American invasion. But thanks to my Lord, in 2022, the US occupation also ended and a victory was achieved there. However, there are all kinds of intrigues so that things do not go well and the Afghan people feel comfortable, their assets are confiscated, trained manpower is smuggled out, and because the West does not give permission, Islamic countries also refrain from recognizing the Afghan government. This should not have been the state of the 1 billion 800 million Islamic Ummah. The fragmentation, this state of being unaware of each other, unfortunately brought us to these days.”
