The youth of the country, whose concern for the future has reached its peak, is flocking abroad. Unemployment is one of the topics that young people talk about on social media and on the street in our country. Two out of every three young people dream of going abroad to escape the clutches of the economic disaster.

In the face of the increasing cost of living, the desire of young people to go abroad has increased considerably. Young people, who say that it is impossible to live on the minimum wage, are now dreaming of going abroad to establish a more prosperous life. According to the report of DİSK, the rate of those working at or below the minimum wage is 49 percent, and the rate of those working with the minimum wage is around 62 percent. According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTATS), the unemployment rate among the young population between the ages of 15-24 was 26.6 percent. Again, according to TURKSTATS' data, there are more than 1 million university graduates unemployed in our country.

YOUTH'S BIGGEST DREAM ABROAD

According to TUIK data, the number of people who migrated abroad from Turkey increased by 2 percent to 330 thousand 289. When the age group of the immigrants was examined, it was seen that the most immigrants were in the 25-29 age group with 13,3 percent. This age group was followed by the 20-24 age group with 12.2%. Arguing that the economic welfare of European countries is better, young people say that they no longer want to live in Turkey. Young people report that their peers in European countries have fewer working hours and lead a more prosperous life. For example, a young person in Turkey needs to save the minimum wage he earns for 70 months in order to buy his dream car, but he can get the same car in 15 months in European countries. It is stated that the Turkish lira is so worthless against the euro and the dollar, and on top of that, it has become impossible to buy products that cannot be bought already with exorbitant taxes.

YOUTH ARE BLAMING THE GOVERNMENT, NOT FOREIGN FORCES

The discourse of the government and its supporters is that the cause of the economic collapse is external forces. However, young people say that the economic disaster is caused by power rather than external powers. Other criticisms of the youth towards the government are in the form of "not being able to manage well, unsuccessful foreign policy, rent projects aimed only to enrich the supporters". Despite the unemployment rate, young people agree that there are many projects to enrich the contractors instead of offering job opportunity projects. Young people state that a change in power can be a solution to solve economic problems.
