Mosques all over Turkey were filled with the call "Youth and Families Meet for Morning Prayer".
Citizens lined up shoulder to shoulder in nearly 200 mosques in 81 provinces and 92 districts, opened their hands to the sky and prayed for those who were martyred in the earthquake and in defense of the homeland.
Morning prayer meetings continue in mosques all over Turkey.
One day before the opening of schools, citizens came together with the call "Youth and Families Meet for Morning Prayer" and filled the large mosques in the cities.
After the recitation of the Holy Quran and the morning prayer, prayers were made with hands raised to the sky.
Women, children and young people also showed great interest in the programme.
They met in 200 mosques in 81 provinces
The morning prayer meeting took place in approximately 200 mosques in 81 provinces and 92 districts.
People who came together with the call of Anatolian Youth Association, ÖNDER, Cihannüma, IHH, Memur-Sen, TÜGVA and Yedi Hilal associations filled the mosques in the early hours of the morning.
After the meeting where all Muslims who believe in resurrection through prayer and who know prayer as a pioneer and a guide came together and stood in line, prayers were made for those who were martyred in the defense of the homeland, especially those who died in the earthquake.
In addition, hands were opened to the sky for the new academic year to be beneficial for our country and nation.
City by city they stood shoulder to shoulder to perform morning prayer
The call made by NGOs received a response from all major cities and cities of Turkey, especially Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara. Mosques overflowed from Edirne to Kars, from Hatay to Sinop.
These mosques include Adana Ulu Mosque, Ankara Gölbaşı Mevlana Mosque, Aydın Söke Koca Mosque, Bursa Ulu Mosque, Çankırı Dumlupınar Mosque, Diyarbakır Ergani Mosque Kebir, Edirne Eski Mosque, Hakkari Ulu Mosque, Hatay İskenderun Kaptanpaşa Mosque, Istanbul Ümraniye Science Palace Mosque, İzmir. Bergama Kulaksız Mosque, Kahramanmaraş Zekeriya Tanrıverdi Mosque, Kırklareli Hızırbey Mosque, Konya Ereğli Ulu Mosque, Muş Salih Muhlise Çağlayan Mosque, Sinop Alaaddin Mosque, Şırnak Ulu Mosque, Tunceli Yunus Emre Mosque.
