The "25 percent increase" in civil servants and pensions did not satisfy neither the opponents nor the supporters of the government.

This good news by President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan made our AKP friends very nervous.

Right after the President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan's statement, one of the prominent figures of the AKP, with whom we spoke, told us that the statement made was "black news with good news"!

And he stated that because of this announced figure, the AKP is at risk of losing a lot!

Our AKP friend, who claimed that after the 54 percent increase in the minimum wage, there was an expectation in the public that the salary of civil servants and pensioners would rise close to this rate, stated that the 25 percent increase rate led to lapses and dreams.

While a much higher increase is expected, the 25 percent increase is presented as good news among civil servants and retirees. Our AKP friend, who stated that this led to the question "We may have to pay a heavy price for this in the elections," expressed his concerns.

Yes, the opposition did not like this hike! Such decisions were often criticized by the opposition, but defended by the spokespersons of the government! Today, the spokespersons of the government also complain about the increase rate.

Members of power, who have already had to deal with many problems on the way to the elections, now have to overcome the dream of lapse caused by the 25 percent increase rate.

With this decision, it was as if another branch was cut and the voters were offended!

Now, the civil servants and retirees, for whom a 25 percent increase is deemed worthy, "What do we lack from the minimum wage?" They are trying to find an answer to the question.

“Aren't we living in the same economic difficulties as the minimum wage earners?” They are investigating the reason why the minimum wage is increased more than twice as much as they do.

The statement that “civil servants and retirees are raised twice a year at the rate of inflation, it is not possible for them to be crushed” is far from convincing.

Now, these facts should have been clearly explained to the President and AKP Chair, Erdoğan, so that the grave mistake made with an additional raise is being tried to be compensated.
