The statement made by the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Lütfi Elvan, regarding the "128 billion dollars", which is constantly on the agenda of the opposition, is the most plausible statement we have heard on this subject.

Minister Elvan says:

"The method can be criticized, but nobody can be accused of corruption!"

Minister Elvan also includes the following views in his statement:

“I think these data should be published both in order to prevent them from being used as political material and to eliminate information pollution. Of course, the appreciation belongs to the Central Bank. In extraordinary situations, the Central Bank can directly purchase and sell foreign exchange. The protocol in 2017 and the transactions made within the framework of this protocol are completely legal. There is no illegal situation in any way. You have the opportunity to see how many foreign exchange sales and purchases have been made, completely open and transparent. "

Was it very difficult to say these in the early days of the debate?

You will appreciate that instead of removing the question marks in the minds by making such statements, attempting to have the banners removed and being contented with unconvincing statements such as "there is no single penny lost" has always been against the government.

If the words of the Minister of Treasury and Finance Elvan, saying "I also want the data to be disclosed," had been spoken in the first days of these discussions, would the claim of 128 billion dollars have grown so much?

Yes, one of the most obvious mistakes of the spokespersons of power is that they resort to methods to prolong the debate instead of solving the criticism of their actions with persuasive answers.

If such an answer had been given in the first days to the questions of the opposition parties about the fate of 128 billion dollars, it would have been a much more correct job of course.

What does Elvan say? "The method can be criticized," he says.

We think the other spokespersons of the AKP think very differently on this issue and they should not want the method to be criticized.

For him, the methods they resort to cause the discussion to go on and on, and to become more branched.

We hope that after this announcement, the Central Bank will release the data and put an end to indigenous debates on the issue.

Thus, if the opposition parties have made an unfair claim, they will have taken the measure of their height.

If the data justify the opposition, then the government has to pay the bill for its wrong policies.
