Did the “regulated sales” initiated by the government  to prevent price increases work?

There are different opinions about this!

Acoording to the Treasury and Finance Minister Albayrak “the regulated sales”  worked and the inflation fell for this reason!

The claim that inflation is falling is not just a claim that beyond a shadow of doubt! Because the figure is belower than the expected, it is called that “the inflation has fallen”.

In other words, as those who lead the economy expect higher inflation, when they faced with less, it is called that the inflation has fallen.

There are also those who try to portrait this as the success of the government by rejoicing over like “the inflation rate dropped below 20 percent”.

They must not remember that in whose reign the inflation had reached to those numbers as rejoicing over like “the inflation rate dropped below 20 percent”.

As the Treasury and Finance Minister Albayrak is attributing the fall in inflation to regulated sales, President and AKP General Chairman Erdogan does not say the same things at all.

In President Erdogan’s discourses, the air still blows like the regulated sales didn’t work.  Because the President Erdogan says that he will extend the regulated sales to all 81 provinces if the prices do not reach the desired level by giving time to the chain markets until the end of March.

Did the President Erdogan talk like that if the regulated sales worked as alleged? It is understood that the President Erdogan and the Treasury and Finance Minister Albayrak do not agree with each other about the reguated sales.

In other words, the father-in-law and the groom don’t think or say the same thing! We would expect their discourses to be more coherent with each other but we couldn’t witness such harmony.

For this reason, we think that they cannot get the result they want from regulated sales.

So, will those who could not find what they hoped in regulated sales they launched in Ankara and Istanbul get the result they desire by broadcasting to 81 provinces?

We hope that the sales will achieve the price stability they want with regulated sales but those who know about economy are expressing that it will not be easy to get results with regulated sales. Because the regulated sales bring new problems with it. The streets are unpassable because of the queues.

Is it possible to say that it is a success in terms of the power to spread the queues in just two provinces to all country?

We think that we must think about this issue first. To think a bit, to chew a bit then decide it seems like condition!
