We do not know if you it caught your attention, but the AKP's Ankara mayoral candidate, Özhaseki, has recently started to sound like he was going to a 'tactical change'!
He says different things to the other spokespersons of his party.
While party spokespersons describe their political opponents as incautious who are not aware of the lasting problem, Özhaseki speaks differently and says that 'Our opponents are never our enemies'.
Is Özhaseki not putting a serious distance between this attitude and the other spokespersons of his party? It would be nice if he had shared this opinion with the leadership staff of the People's Alliance.
There is a difference between the mentality that sees everyone who does not think like themselves as an enemy and there is as different as chalk and cheese the facts expressed by Özhaseki.
While an opinion condemns those, who do not think like himself as traitors to the enemy class, in his speech Özhaseki almost literally gives a lesson of democracy by saying 'Our opponents are never our enemies'.
We do not wonder how Özhaseki's statements are met by the party elders.
If there is a “new exclusion” in the ruling party soon, it will never be surprising to us.
It will not be surprising that the partisan press wrapped Özhaseki's style in the language of his speeches and took place against him as they did Davutoğlu.
But, why did Özhaseki, who used a very parallel discourse with the party administration at the beginning, needed a change of discourse later?
We think he has seen that the harsh and exclusive style does not give them any benefit.
He may have learned from the surveys that campaigning and polarizing discourses have a negative impact on voters.
For this reason, he may have heard the need to emphasize expressions that soften the political air instead of the speeches that make a disturbance.
I wish other spokespersons of the ruling party would begin to use this style of Özhaseki.
Instead of showing everyone as a traitor and declaring every different thinker an enemy, they can say that they are nothing more than a political opponent.
The politics that disturbed the environment helped the politicians at one time and the bully's attitude and voter support were provided, but no one should think that this would continue to forever.
It should never be forgotten that strain policies are just like high blood pressure and it is not clear when it will hit people.
