Forest fires all over the country burned our forests, but it hurts us more than our forests!
As we saw our beautiful forests, which were burned to ashes, our souls were hurt more, we became more sad and more devastated!
The event that hurt us was a discussion that started because of these fires as much as the burning of our forests!
The debate on whether we have planes to put out forest fires or not has worried us a lot.
While some people claimed that we do not have planes to extinguish forest fires, those who oppose this view claimed that we have firefighting planes, but instead of using them, it is preferred to use helicopters rented from abroad.
While some people claimed that the planes we have were old, the other side said that the helicopters rented were older than these planes.
Moreover, they stated that today in our country, old or antique planes are used to extinguish forest fires all over the world.
They claimed that the fact that the water capacity of these planes was 100 liters less than they could carry was an excuse to be eliminated in the forest fire extinguishing tender.
We think that it would be more appropriate to draw attention to the inappropriateness of the discussion, rather than to assume the role of an arbitrator as if one side is right and the other side is wrong.
Would it be bad if all available means were mobilized to put out forest fires as soon as possible?
What would we lose as a country if both planes and helicopters were activated together?
Of course, we would not have lost anything, but on the contrary, we would have gained a lot.
We would put out the fires in our forests in a shorter time.
But unfortunately, we see that this is not done and a vicious debate is entered into.
This vicious discussion hurts, saddens and devastates us as much as forest fires!
Our beautiful forests are burning down.
Of course, these vicious debates stand before us as a natural consequence of the politics of polarization.
