AKP Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazici, while expressing his views on the detention of Osman Kavala and Selahattin Demirtas despite the ECtHR rulings, states that "Turkey has accepted the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights" and that there must be a "formula" to meet this demand.
Is there any difference between trying to re-discover America and searching for a "formula" after the fact that Yazici said, "Turkey has accepted the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights"? The formula they are looking for is obvious.
What they will do is to fulfill the decision given by the ECHR directly!
It's that simple!
But some of them take great pleasure in driving things uphill instead of implementing the ECHR decision!
And by taking side roads, they resort to rhetoric that would mean "We do not recognize the ECHR decisions".
While they have to directly fulfill the decisions of the ECtHR, they are unwilling to accept it first.
It's getting muddy like this.
Then they come out and say, "A formula must be found".
Is there any reason to try to look for a formula as if there is a troublesome situation for which there is no way out?
Since the ECtHR trial has been accepted, the task to be done now is to fulfill the requirements of the court's decisions.
Whether the ECtHR judgment should be accepted or not may be a separate issue, but once it is accepted, it should not make sense to seek a formula again.
Yes, these words of AKP Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı are no different than attempting to rediscover America.
The only advice we can give them is this:
It's been a long time since America has been discovered, it's unnecessary to tire yourself out again!
If you abide by the decisions made, that will be enough.
Don't waste your time on a new formula or something.
Tell your friends who oppose the decisions of the ECtHR that what they did was wrong.
If you can convince them that these decisions must be followed, you may not need to look for new formulas.
Instead of dealing with such unnecessary work, it would be much more accurate to work to improve the situation in the country's economy. Tell us!
