President and AKP Chairman Erdogan says that the groundbreaking of Canal Istanbul will be laid at the end of June and “two new cities” will be built on both sides of the canal to be opened.

It is stated that the new cities to be established will have a population of 500,000, but it is obvious that it is impossible to keep the populations in these numbers!

They are planning two cities with a population of 500 thousand each, but the population of these new cities will not fall below a million.

In other words, the population of Istanbul will increase even more.

As is known, the spokespersons of the government refer to the Kanal Istanbul project as a "crazy project".

On the other hand, we think that the real crazy project is not the projects that will increase the population of Istanbul, but the projects that will reduce the current population by at least half.

With the establishment of "two new cities" on both sides of Kanal Istanbul, the problems will increase and become insurmountable.

However, as far as we can see, those who are determined to build Kanal Istanbul are not worried about the issue.

They seem to say, "We will build Kanal Istanbul, we will build new cities next to it, let others think about the rest".

Let's be fair to them, they also have another account!

They are planning to build six bridges over Canal Istanbul. They are included in the account of whether make the crossings through these bridges paid or free.

The mind of those who founded two new cities in a city like Istanbul is about where we can generate more income!

For this reason, some of them argue that the bridges they will build should be paid, while others argue that the crossings should be free of charge, fearing that the nation will put them on the payroll.

Their main concern is not the problems that will be brought along by the further increase in the population of Istanbul.

Their concern is whether "we should get money from those who cross the bridges to be built or not!" Let's see which side's opinion will prevail?

You see, they have these bridges built by subcontractors with a guarantee of passage, on the grounds that they do not burden the Treasury, and at the end of the work, they make the nation pay the bill again!

Yes, no matter how "crazy projects" they call it, we believe that any project that will increase the population of Istanbul will bring new problems, so we believe that the real crazy projects will go through reducing the population.
