We have been busy with the news about "sunflower oil" for days.
In a mood as if we won't be able to find "sunflower oil" tomorrow, we try to take it home wherever we find it.
We are trying to find the oils that are stocked by raiding the warehouses of chain markets.
Why are we experiencing all this?
We experience all this because of the "difference of mentality".
Only a quarter of the sunflower oil consumed in Turkey is produced in our country.
The rest is imported.
However, we have agricultural land that can produce "all the sunflower oil" consumed in our country!
We have land, but our production is not enough!
If importing is preferred instead of producing, it means that it is done because of a completely different mentality!
This is the point reached when there are even those who import straw among those who have been ruling the country for years, saying "we have money so we import"!
This is the point we try to underline as the mentality difference!
If instead of saying "we have money we import" it was said "we are obliged to produce everything that can be produced", God knows we would not be experiencing these problems today!
We are faced with a mentality that sees it as a burden, let alone production, even buying sunflower seeds from outside and producing oil.
Since oil is not produced in factories in Turkey by taking sunflower seeds, it has become inactive in those factories.
In other words, instead of investing in our own farmers, our own villagers and our own factory, we have become completely foreign-dependent by saying "we have money to import".
Today, we have to shoulder a thousand and one troubles while we can have the chance to export the surplus as we meet our own needs.
It is our most sincere wish that these difficulties will be a lesson to the society and that the voters will take into account the "difference of mentality" when choosing the cadres to run the country.
If we follow everyone, regardless of mentality, it means that we will not get rid of such troubles.
If we have seen together how those who take steps only towards the concrete, that is, the construction sector, instead of taking steps towards production, are stuck as a result, we are witnessing the exhaustion of those who say "we have money so we import".
