It would be fair to say that the markets were turned upside down when those who tried to steer the economy increased the SCT rates in a terrible way.

The supporters began to look for a name to put the responsibility of such a raise on them.

They were especially upset that the price hikes were announced after the July 15 sala was read.

There were even those who suggested that those responsible be immediately identified and dismissed!

While the supporters were looking for a person responsible for the sudden hikes, a past speech of President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan was ringing in our ears.

In that speech, Erdogan declared that the municipality, which is swimming in debt from the Turkish economy, was responsible for himself, not others, by saying, "I am responsible for the Turkish economy".

Yes, while the supporters were looking for someone to put the responsibility of the hikes on themselves, and President Erdoğan was saying "I am responsible for the economy", a statement was made by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance regarding the increase in SCT.

In the statement of the Ministry, it is stated that the increase in SCT was made for two main reasons.

It is stated that the first reason is the additional cost caused by the earthquake, and the second reason is that there has been almost no increase since 2016.

And it is said that due to the fact that the SCT amounts are fixed, they succumbed to inflation.

Which inflation data did the Ministry of Treasury and Finance take into account when increasing the SCT rates?

TURKSTAT figures or ENAG figures?

We think that there would definitely not be an increase in this rate if the TÜİK figures were taken into account.

Because, isn't it clear that those who increase their pensions by 25 percent, including the welfare share, do not trust the figures of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) for the increase in SCT?

From this explanation, we conclude that "we haven't increased the SCT rate for a long time, now is the time to increase it".

Both the opponents and supporters and the partners of the People's Alliance are not satisfied with this hike and are expressing opposing views.

And they are demanding that the increase is stopped.

Let's see what will happen in time?
