22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who was detained by the morality police in Iran for not obeying the headscarf rules, fell ill during the detention and was taken to the hospital. Amini died of a heart attack.
After Mahsa Amini's death, protests were held in Iran, and the events had reached serious dimensions. The demonstrations, which started after Amini's funeral in her hometown of Sakkız on September 17, spread to many cities of the country.
Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who made a statement after the events in question, stated that Amini's death was "a sad event" and that the protests were planned and not organized by "ordinary Iranians".
Khamenei said, "These riots and creating a security problem are a project of the US and the Zionist Israeli regime. Some Iranian traitors abroad, who were paid by them, helped them".
While the events in Iran have been going on for more than a month, it is seen that some perception operations have been applied in the international arena.
Finally, the BBC's news that "thousands of people were executed in Iran" turned out to be a lie.
While all the equations in international relations are changing, we evaluated the developments in the world from the perspective of "perception operations" and "global powers" with Afyon Kocatepe University Faculty Member and Milli Gazete columnist Assoc. Dr. Mücahit Gültekin.
We have witnessed that perception and image studies are carried out in every Western-based operation carried out against the Islamic geography. In this context, how do you evaluate the process of the events in Iran so far?
First of all, we need to understand the essence of the issue well and remember that both armed and psychological warfare against Iran is not new. This war, led by the USA, has been going on with its visible and invisible faces since February 11, 1979. However, the hostility of the USA against the Iranian people did not start after 1979. The USA carried out its first coup in the Middle East in Iran in 1953 and overthrew Mossadegh. Mossadegh was not an enemy of the United States. He just wanted to nationalize oil. He even wrote a letter to the President of the USA, asking for protection from the USA against England. However, the US overthrew the elected prime minister Mossadegh in an attempt called the "Ajax operation". In fact, the Shah fled the country when the first attempt failed. When the second attempt was successful, the United States reinstated the Shah. See, the USA and the West did not have a problem with the Shah at that time, they did not have a problem with Iran. Moreover, they were supporters of the Shah's totalitarian regime. In the mid-1950s, SAVAK, one of the bloodiest intelligence units in history, was established under the instructor of the US General Schwarzkopf, and Shah Reza Pahlavi almost shed blood in the country until 1979. On June 5, 1963, he massacred about 15,000 people. This massacre took place as a result of the demonstrations that started after the arrest of Ayatollah Khomeini by the Shah. So why was Ayatollah Khomeini arrested? SAVAK says that scholars should not talk about three issues, and that he is free to talk about anything he wants. It says, first, do not speak against the Shah, second, do not speak against Israel, and third, do not say that Islam is in danger. Thereupon, Imam Khomeini gave a speech on June 4, 1963. This speech is a turning point. He says there, "Our whole issue consists of these three issues. Israel wants to usurp your trade, agriculture and wealth, Israel wants to eliminate the Qur'an and Muslims," and accuses the Shah of being a follower of Israel's goals and intrigues. After this speech, he is arrested and the next day the massacres I mentioned begin. Please note, this talk is given in 1963. The main target here is Israel. There is no trace of the Islamic revolution. On the contrary, the Shah's iron fist descends on the whole country. In other words, the struggle against Israel was the basis of the movement. When this movement was successful in 1979, the US embassy was expelled from the country. The building where the Israeli embassy was located was given to the Palestine Liberation Organization after the revolution and Israel's existence was denied. Support was given to Muslims fighting against Israel. That is the gist of the matter. This is Iran's real fault. It is not acknowledging the existence of Israel and the patronage of the United States. What has been desired for 43 years is the re-establishment of a regime in Iran that will accept the mastery of the United States. In order to achieve this goal, every means known or unknown to the public, such as war, terror, embargo, assassination, serialization, cultural corruption, has been tried.
“PROPAGANDA CONTINUED ALTHOUGH THE ALLEGATIONS ABOUT AMINI REVEALED AS A LIE”
These recent events are one of those trials. Let's take a look at the evolution of this event. The starting point is very important. The starting point is the death of a young girl named Mahsa Amini. When we examine this event, we see that a rule called "leaning on the facts" is applied in the perception management and manipulation process. Leaning on the truth means that a lie is produced from a truth. That's why it's very effective. This rule tells us:
“Don't say something that doesn't exist, make something that exists suspect and change its direction!”
This is exactly how the events in Iran were started and operated. A few days after his death, an unprecedented claim by the international media that Amini was "violent in custody" and "killed" by the police. It was true that Amini was dead, but it was a lie that she was violent and killed. We're talking about a campaign so big that some studies show that 80 million tweets were sent within a few days of Amini's death. It is stated that this is a record in the history of Twitter, receiving 10 times more engagement than even the most popular hashtags. Politicians, artists, NGOs, intellectuals, etc. Many people are participating. Afterwards, this propaganda continued despite the publication of medical records and camera footage of Mahsa Amini's death, and the allegations were proven to be invalid. A recent study revealed that 5 media outlets made a total of 17,312 fake news in 25 days.
“48 BLACK WOMEN KILLED BY POLICE IN THE USA ONLY IN 2015”
Look, what was said was this: Women are oppressed in Iran! Women's rights are being violated! Two years ago, I was in the National Newspaper, "Who Cares About Violence Against Women?" I wrote an article entitled.
I mentioned a report by Amnesty International there. The report said that about 50,000 women are raped every year in Finland. In Denmark, this number is 24 thousand. So, which countries are shown as examples for "women's rights"?
Yes, these countries. Can you imagine, those funded from these countries want “freedom for women” using the Mahsa Amini case. We know what kind of freedom they want. They want to enslave not only women, but also women and men, children and children, to global capital. Mahsa Emini, they don't care one bit. In fact, none of us care about them.
See, in the USA alone, 48 black women were shot and killed by the police in 2015. They made the whole world memorize Mahsa Amini's name in a few weeks. So does anyone know the name of one of these 48 women? Does anyone want regime change in the USA? Children and parents are killed every day in Israel. Moreover, this has been going on for decades. Have you seen these “women's rights” advocates gather and campaign for Şirin Abu Akile, shot by the Israelis last May?
“WE ARE FACING A CLASSIC US-ENGLAND-ISRAEL SCENARIO”
In summary, we are faced with a classic US-UK-Israel scenario. Mahsa Amini's death was used as a "trigger". Then other lines of division, such as ethnic sensitivities, were introduced and tried to "expand" the demonstrations. If this could be successful, “deepening”, that is, making the demonstrations permanent, organized and sustainable with leadership was desired. Afterwards, of course, "transformation", that is, a transformation that is not a threat to the existence of Israel, was aimed. But they got stuck after the trigger phase. They did not have a wide participation. When they didn't get what they wanted, they started to destroy and terrorize this time. They killed dozens of people. Of course, the international media does not announce them. Meanwhile, a person who appeared on television as an "Iran expert" the other day, described the burning of mosques as "honorable sabotage" in a program he attended. Can you imagine, this person says this as an “expert”! They call terrorism, burning mosques and killing civilians as "honor".
