The Sub Leben family, which has a house very close to the Masjid al-Aqsa, is one of six Palestinian families in East Jerusalem who were tried to be evicted from their homes by Jewish settler terrorists.

According to the information received from the Sub Leben family, the Israeli police raided the house with a large unit in the morning.

After the raid, when mother Nura was in the hospital and only the father and some activists were at home, the Israeli police set up security barriers on the street where the house is located and at more than one point.

Israeli police asked the family to remove their belongings from the house where they had lived since 1953.

The Sub Leben family, whose house is located in the Old City of East Jerusalem, very close to the Masjid al-Aqsa, is one of the six Palestinian families in East Jerusalem who were forced out of their homes by Jewish settler organizations.

The Jerusalem family had lost its 45-year legal struggle against the Israeli government and later against the attempts of Jewish settler organizations. The Israeli judiciary accepted the Jewish settler organization's claim on the property and gave the Palestinian family until June 11 to vacate the house.

Israeli authorities had informed the family that the eviction order would be implemented soon.

EASTERN JERUSALEM UNDER INVASION OF SETTLEMENT ORGANIZATIONS

Evacuation cases to expand illegal Jewish settlements in the center of Palestinian neighborhoods are based on Israeli laws that privilege Jews. Eviction cases against the Sub Leben family and other Palestinian families in similar situations are filed by settler groups based on Israel's 1970 Law on Legal and Administrative Affairs.

Settlement organizations, with the support of Israeli state institutions and international Zionist organizations, are trying to seize the property rights of these houses in various ways, even though they have no affiliation with the alleged former owners of the Jews or residents.

The General Guard unit under the Israeli Ministry of Justice also provides the legal platform for settler organizations to initiate eviction proceedings against Palestinian families through the 1970 law and "steal" these properties from Palestinians.
