In the rural areas of the occupied West Bank, the illegal settlements established by the Jewish occupiers make the lives of the Palestinian residents, who make a living from animal husbandry and farming, seriously difficult.
Local residents say that Jews living in these illegal occupation units in the West Bank countryside aim to seize large areas of land by disturbing the Palestinians in various ways.
It is also stated that Israel is trying to annex the West Bank with illegal settlements in the countryside.
Residents of the region, some of whom settled in these lands after the "Nakba" (Great Disaster), which declared their independence in the Palestinian territories occupied by Israel in 1948 and subjected the Palestinians to forced migration, earn their living from animal husbandry and farming.
PALESTINIANS CANNOT FEED THEIR ANIMALS
Palestinian Salman al-Zawahra, who lives in Um Rashrash in the Al-Mughayir town of the West Bank's Ramallah province, spoke about the illegal practices of the Jewish occupiers.
Al-Zawahra, who lives with her relatives and makes livestock in the town with a population of approximately 85, said that Jewish occupiers established an illegal settlement in the rural area to the east of Mughayir town four years ago.
Al-Zawahra stated that the illegal settlement prevented the residents of the region from grazing their animals, and they could no longer graze their sheep wherever they wanted.
The 54-year-old Palestinian, who stated that he was exposed to unprecedented difficulties during the day, said, "It was an ordinary day when we prepared to greet the guests and waited for them in the tent. A group of Jewish invaders took over the entire land with a flock of sheep and cattle; They prevented the Palestinians from grazing their animals."
"JEWS ARE CONTINUOUSLY ATTACKING US"
Al-Zawahra stated that the Palestinians have been subjected to various troubles and attacks by the Jewish occupiers in the 4 years since the establishment of the illegal settlement.
"The repeated harassment by Jewish occupiers means forcing residents to leave their homes and leave," he added.
Mughayir Village Council Member and activist Marzuq Naim stated that the Jewish occupiers seized 30 thousand acres of land in the town under the protection of Israeli forces.
Naimi said that the Israeli government is planning to annex the Agvar region through the invaders who do not give the Palestinians comfort and force the Bedouins here to migrate, and pointed out that although the Israeli authorities do not provide services to the Palestinians here, they provide water, electricity, infrastructure and protection to the Jewish occupiers living in this rural area.
"The invaders, who look like farmers from the outside, work together with the occupying associations and institutions that want to seize these lands," Naimi said.
Pointing out that there were occasional clashes between the invaders, who were protected by Israeli soldiers and attacked Palestinian farmers and shepherds, and the Bedouins in the region, Naimi said that the land of the Bedouins here is the first line of defense for the Palestinian lands.
