Memur-Sen Emergency Search and Rescue Team Accreditation Ceremony was held at ‘Memur-Sen’ Union Headquarters.

In the program, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) accreditation of the emergency aid team, which was established by ‘Genç-Memur-Sen’ Union in 9 provinces and consisting of 270 people, was carried out with a ceremony. 
 
AFAD accreditation of the emergency aid team formed by ‘Genç-Memur-Sen’ Union in 9 provinces with 270 people was carried out with the program held at the ‘Memur-Sen’ Union Headquarters. Emergency aid teams in 9 provinces will be prepared for any emergency situation that may occur in their provinces and throughout the country. 
 
Giving the opening speech of the "Memur-Sen Emergency Search and Rescue Team Accreditation Ceremony" held at Memur-Sen Union Headquarters, ‘Genç-Memur-Sen’ Union President Mustafa Başkara underlined the need to be prepared for disasters and said, "Especially in the century we live in, with the impact of global warming, there is a serious increase in the number and types of disasters in Turkey and in the world. It is very important to be cautious against disasters as realities that people can face at any time and to keep opportunities ready. This that's why we, as ‘Genç-Memur-Sen’ Union, have established the youngest emergency aid team in Turkey.” 
 

A TEAM OF 270 PEOPLE WAS ESTABLISHED IN A SHORT TIME 

 
Stating that disasters are increasing day by day in today's world, ‘Memur-Sen’ Union Chairman Ali Yalçın said, “Disasters, now cause more casualties and take more lives. We have to be prepared for these and worse. As ‘Memur-Sen’ Union, we signed a protocol with the Ministry of Interior and AFAD to take part with professional teams in disasters that we frequently encounter in our country, and we have taken the first step. Be able to intervene quickly during and after the disaster; We set out to form trained, professional and volunteer teams to provide services in areas such as health, nutrition, psychosocial support, shelter, search and rescue. Our ‘Genç-Memur-Sen’ Union management in a short time created a search and rescue team of 270 people in 10 regions consisting of Ankara, Samsun, Manisa, Kahramanmaraş, Van, Istanbul, Malatya, Afyonkarahisar and Bursa.”
