The coronavirus caused severe damage to the economy. Even optimistic forecasts are that the growth in the world economy has been seriously damaged this year."

Economist Prof. Dr. Hayri Kozanoğlu pointing to Turkey's fiscal policy, "Before the epidemic broke out also still he could not overcome the effects of the 2018 economic crisis in Turkey. A serious crisis awaits us after the pandemic ends," he said.

While the only agenda of the world was the coronavirus epidemic, the economies were literally turned upside down. While gold and foreign exchange prices broke records in our country, production and economic activity came to a halt, causing danger bells to ring.

In the epidemic period when the markets were closed, production was almost completely stopped, tourism was finished and consumption was halved, gram gold saw 369 TL. On the other hand, the euro increased to 7.45 TL and the dollar to 6.78 TL. It has become a matter of curiosity how the Turkish economy, which finances its foreign debt with foreign currency inflows from abroad, will take shape in the coming period. Even before the outbreak in Turkey Coronavirus gold and currency upward mobilized reminding economists, he said that there will be serious economic problems in the world.

“WE WILL BE IMPACTED MUCH MORE”

Economist Prof. Dr. Hayri Kozanoğlu, stating that a serious stagnation in the world economy is inevitable after the coronavirus epidemic, “The economy of all the countries of the world will of course be affected in the process after the epidemic. But developing countries will have more difficult times. Turkey's developing countries among the highest countries on foreign sources of external debt and the need to ensure that growth is going to show a lot more impressed. Turkey's leading export market is the European Union. However, there is a great contraction after the second quarter. This means a serious blow to European exports”.

“THE WORLD BEGINS TO RECOVER IN 2022”

Uğur Civelek said, “There has been a period since 2002. With an abundance of money, our economy was forced to grow artificially and its side effects were ignored. Now we have come to the end of this period and everything will be very different from now on. There is no growing economy in the world right now. The financial sector will be severely damaged and many companies will go bankrupt. Everything is struggling to keep the damage to a minimum. There has been an abnormal intervention for a month and a half so that the crisis does not grow more and there is no panic. The world economy starts to recover only in 2022. In this process and after this period, gold prices will continue to rise again.”

PRODUCT RANGE HAS CHANGED

Pointing out that the structure of the cargo that the sector carries recently has also changed, Kut continued as follows: "Cargo from company to company has decreased significantly. Cargoes from companies to individuals remain almost past. There is a change in the product range. Household items, foods and similar products started to move rather than electronic products."
