At the beginning of the 90s, when the pressure of Serbs on Bosnian Muslims continued to increase, the leader of the National Opinion Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, Abdullah Gül and Malaysia's Abdul Hadi Awang and a delegation went on a diplomatic campaign to America.

Abdul Hadi Awang, leader of the Malaysia Islamic Party (PAS), described the visit for the first time with a photo he shared from his social media account. Awang, "Necmettin Erbakan and the Islamic Political Party deputies in parliament, this photo we took during our trip to the United States in 1990 reminds me of a unique travel experience," he said.

Awang also included the purpose of the visit and the negotiations.

"The purpose of our visit was to resolve the crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For this purpose, we had a meeting with the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) Butros Ghali and the Senators of the American Congress and the members of the US Embassy," Awang added.

Abdul Hadi Awang said that his delegations who gathered from the Islamic countries during the visit were treated unfriendly during the visit.

"We have been treated very hostile in all of these meetings and visits. However, our teacher Erbakan reminded us at every opportunity that we must be patient and strong to deal with the enemy."

Saying that Ghali was working to destroy the Islamic world, the late Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan understood the former secretary-general of the UN as follows: ‘The UN's former Secretary General Egyptian Diplomat Boutros Ghali's struggle in Cyprus was an example. As his father worked to destroy and shatter the Ottoman; he had tried to break in Turkey and the Islamic world." (Davam 'my case', Necmettin Erbakan, MGV centuries. p.167)

Awang, leader of the Malaysia Islamic Party, also expressed his admiration for Erbakan's determined wisdom. Bu ‘In this process, we learned from our teacher that while struggling with difficulties, both the spirit and dynamism of youth and the determined wisdom of old age were needed to be stable and strong. May Allah have mercy on Erbakan and accept him among his loved ones."
