Zübeyde Güler, Head of the Felicity (Saadet) Party's Antalya Provincial Women's Branch, said, “Today, we see that those who cultivate the land, similar to the past, are shaping all of humanity. For this reason, the labor given to the land is of great importance in human life and in the development of the country. Unfortunately, we have to express with regret that the land and the farmers who cultivate the land are not given the value they deserve.”
“POWER CANNOT SOLVE THE PROBLEMS OF FARMERS”
Emphasizing that Turkey and Antalya are becoming more and more dependent on foreign agriculture in the field of agriculture, Güler stated that the reason for the increase in prices is foreign dependency and added, “The gradual decrease in our agricultural production capacity in the country is an indisputable fact that will cause an increase in our dependence on foreign food. Currently, we are seeing the negative effects of this dependence on food prices, unfortunately we are living it. From this point of view, agriculture has become a very serious security issue that needs urgent action.”
