Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa İriş held a press conference and made important statements regarding the agenda.
At the press conference held under the Saadet Party Edirne Provincial Presidency with the participation of many media members and Saadet Party members, he drew attention to the economic crisis in Turkey and the livelihood of the citizens.
At the meeting, where many data and statistics on the economy were shared, Mustafa İriş made statements about the economy management of the Saadet Party.
“WE CAN LIVE IN A MORE PROGRESSIVE COUNTRY”
Mustafa İriş, Deputy Chairman of the Saadet Party, who started the press release by stating that the dizzying speed in technology has made our world a big village, said, “There are very rapid changes in our time. Those who were not prepared for these changes lost many of their values. It continues to do. If we take a brief look at what happened in our country in this process; Turkey, our country, has been ruled by the same government and the same cadres for twenty years. Of course in twenty years, a lot of work was done with its shortcomings. But frankly, we think that the conditions we are in, should be much better. We believe it can happen. Because we are a country surrounded by seas on three sides, where four seasons are experienced and where lively young people roam. We are the sons of a civilization that has presented the best examples of fair rule for a thousand years. For this reason, we believe that our people can live in much more prosperous, much more peaceful environments.”
“THE FIGURES ARE FRIGHTENING”
Stating that the economy continues to keep its place at the top of the agenda, “Just as every family, institution, company has a budget, so does the state. It is prepared and approved every year. At the same time, the budget is a law. If a family's income cannot meet its expenses, it means that the family budget will run a deficit. What to do if this deficit continues? First, a savings plan is made and measures are taken. As far as possible, ways to increase incomes are sought. The family used these two items. What if it is not implemented? First, if there are three or five savings, they are gone, then the house is sold, whatever is gone. However, if recklessness persists, the result will be frustration. While this is the case in the family, what is the biggest budget that concerns us all, what is going on in the budget of our state? As you can see, the picture is not encouraging at all. The most important reason for the budget deficit is interest. When we examine the table showing interest expenses since 2000, we come across very frightening figures,” Mustafa İriş added.
“WE HAVE GREAT LOSSES”
Stating that production and exports cannot run smoothly in an economy that is groaning under a heavy interest burden, Mustafa İriş said, “While exports are increasing on the one hand, imports are increasing more on the other. Therefore, our foreign trade balance has not been achieved for years. As in the budget, the deficit in foreign trade also continues. In summary, when our exports cannot meet imports, a current account deficit occurs. Our need for foreign exchange is never ending. Generally, the result of these deficits is debt. It means borrowing. As a result, by the end of 2021, our debts have reached 2 trillion 400 billion Turkish Liras (TL). This table triggers unemployment. The number of unemployed, which was 1,5 millions in the 2000s, reaches 4,5 millions in 2021. It is seen that we have great losses both morally and spiritually. The numbers show the damage."
“WE OBJECT TO VICIOUS CONTENTION”
“As National Vision (Milli Gorus), we object to the fact that political developments in Turkey are tried to be suppressed through political parties, with a 'boatman's fight' or a 'cock fight'. The idea of National Vision has a quality that warns the masses and directs them to see the real actors. As I have tried to express since the beginning of our meeting, the world is changing rapidly. Those who hold power constantly add to their power. In the face of this situation, we should stay away from daily vicious conflicts. By establishing justice in all matters, we must work to make our country a leading country. All of us, with the opposition and the government, have great responsibilities. In this regard, as Saadet Party, the only representative of the National Vision movement, we want the peace and well-being of all 85 million citizens of the country.
