The Felicity (Saadet) Party objected to the annual inflation rate, which was announced as 36 percent by Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT). Serafettin Kılıç, Deputy Chairman of the Saadet Party, who issued a press statement, personally exhibited products such as electricity, coal and gas cylinders, which were increased at exorbitant rates, as well as basic consumer products.

Revealing the real inflation lived in, “There is a scapegoat by saying ‘stockists’. The address is misleaded by saying opportunists. Strange comments are made to say 'we didn't do it'. ‘We did not do it, foreign powers did. We didn't, the stockists did. We didn't, chain markets did.' So who is making a hike in electricity? Who raises fuel prices? Who is raising taxes?” Şerafettin Kılıç said.

The Saadet Party's objection to the inflation figures of TURKSTAT was not delayed. Another statement that the annual inflation rate, which was announced as 36 percent, did not reflect the truth, came from the Deputy Chairman of the Saadet Party, Şerafettin Kılıç.

Saadet Party organized an event in İzmir Provincial Presidency. Şerafettin Kılıç, who drew attention to the livelihood grievance of the people with his press statement, claimed that the inflation rate announced by TURKSTAT did not reflect the fire of livelihood. In the hall where the press conference took place, Şerafettin Kılıç, who personally exhibited products such as electricity, coal and gas cylinders, which were increased at exorbitant prices, in addition to basic consumption products, made important statements.

“WHO IS RAISING THE TAXES ON FUEL?”

Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Şerafettin Kılıç, speaking in the press statement he held, noted that underplaying inflation with calculation games means stealing from the salary of those who receive their wages according to inflation.

"People have the feeling of 'We are going to a doomsday'. Members of power constantly give examples from the history of ancient history, where there are ration cards for bread and queues for oil. Currently, ration cards are not distributed for bread, but the long queues waiting in the cold weather to buy cheap bread from the municipality can now be seen even from the window of Beştepe. This picture is sad for our country and shameful for the government. As the Saadet Party, we watched the annual price increases based on the basic consumer goods that the public had to use. We put forward a study. Looking for criminals, crazy hikes. There are scapegoats called stockists. The address is misleaded by saying opportunists. To say 'we didn't do it' strange comments are made. ‘We did not do it, foreign powers did. We didn't, the stockists did. We didn't, chain markets did.' Well, who is making a raise in electricity? Who raises fuel prices? Who is raising taxes?” Şerafettin Kılıç added.

“AVERAGE HIKE IN BASIC ITEMS 70 PERCENT”

Şerafettin Kılıç, who revealed the price increases for essential goods and services, especially for foodstuffs, said, “Gas cylinder 100 percent, coal 90 percent, sugar 78 percent, flower oil 90 percent, olive 106 percent, flour 111 percent, pasta 59 percent, detergent 83 percent. , toilet paper 119 percent, beef 50 percent, chickpea 87 percent, milk 77 percent, yogurt 82%, bulgur 63%, lentils 60 percent, potatoes 100 percent, tomatoes 67 percent, eggs 74 percent, electricity 22 percent, natural gas 19, cereals 71 percent, and bread are increased by 67 percent. As can be clearly seen, the average increase in basic substances does not fall below 70 percent. Inflation in our country is the result of the economy policies preferred and implemented by the government. Instead of producing meaningless excuses and artificial criminals for these terrible price hikes, they should feel the responsibility in their conscience and in their authority and produce a solution."

He also underlined the need to put an end to the price hikes and solve the cost of living problem as a priority.
