What do you think is the most important problem of our country?

As the economic crisis in Turkey deepens, the pessimism of the citizens grows. While confirming the situation in the surveys conducted by MAK Consulting in March, citizens' perspectives on the economy yielded remarkable results. Questioning whether it is believed that Turkey will become one of the 10 largest economies in the world in 2023, MAK Consulting has reached striking data. According to this, 61 percent of the citizens did not even consider the situation in question. While 18 percent of the citizens thought that Turkey's economy would improve in 2023, 21 percent remained undecided.

ACCORDING TO THE CITIZEN, THE MOST IMPORTANT PROBLEM IS COST OF LIVING

Another question asked to the citizens was, "What do you think is the most important problem of our country?" 58 percent of the citizens stated that the cost of living is Turkey's biggest problem. While unemployment follows the cost of living issue with 13 percent, those who give the answer to injustice rate was 10 percent. Another 9 percent said that Turkey's biggest problem is moral and social problems.

THE GOVERNMENT'S ECONOMIC POLICIES ARE NOT ACCEPTED

The majority of the citizens answered no to the statement "Do you find the government's economic policies successful?" Accordingly, 83 percent of the public answered no to the question, "Do you find the government's economic policies successful?" While 6 percent expressed an undecided opinion, the rate of those who found the government's economic policies successful remained at 11 percent.

28 PERCENT SAID 'MY LIFE HAS BEEN DEVASTATED'

Another question MAK Consulting asked citizens regarding the economic agenda was, "How does the increase in prices for your needs affect you since the beginning of the year 2022?" A cut of 28 percent said, “My life has turned upside down. I am in a serious difficulty.” Percentage of those who say, "it has affected me negatively, but I think we will overcome the next period with some savings" was seen as 42. In response to the question, the rate of those who said, "We have the same problem as everyone else, but I think we will overcome it in the coming days," remained at 26 percent.
