Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli evaluated the agenda at the weekly Turkish Grand National Assembly Group Meeting.
Bahçeli, who started his speech with the mining disaster in Erzincan İliç, made a remarkable statement.
"We see the establishment of the Parliamentary Investigation Commission as an appropriate decision and we stand by it. It is our desire that the gold mine disaster in question be examined in every aspect and that no gaps, no doubts, no foggy spots are left behind. In my opinion, it would be a natural and correct choice to listen to the ridicule through the Parliamentary Investigation Commission, especially considering the public allegations of some television commentators, so-called environmentalists, emerging mining experts and politicians seeking to collect profit. It is my wish that no one who had a share in the negligence that caused the mining disaster will be spared," Bahçeli said.
SUPPORT FOR NORMALIZATION OF RELATIONS WITH EGYPT
Bahçeli also touched upon the process of normalization of relations with Egypt.
"The close dialogue between Turkey and Egypt is also a security umbrella against Israeli oppression. Egypt's attitude towards the crime of genocide committed in Gaza is satisfactory. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's persistent and stubborn assertion that they will carry out an operation in Rafah should be interpreted as a move to take the war outside Gaza and is a threat to Egypt as well. Attacking Rafah, where innocent Gazans took refuge, is madness and will end in disaster for Israel," Bahçeli added.
