Felicity (Saadet) Party Konya Deputy and Head of Youth Branch Abdulkadir Karaduman brought TRT's failure to include opposition party leaders in its broadcasts to the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). Karaduman, who submitted a question to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with the request of the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, said that TRT should stand at an equal distance from 84 million citizens.
DAMAGE TO INTEGRITY
Karaduman criticizing TRT's broadcasting policy, "In Turkey, especially in recent years, the institutions that exist to serve the public have been made to serve only a certain group. The fact that TRT, which is supported by every citizen equally with tax, reflects only certain voices harms the unity and integrity of our country. In an environment where society is polarized, TRT can perform an important task such as ensuring cohesion and integration. TRT should adopt a broadcasting approach in line with this task as soon as possible," he said.
HOW MANY MINUTES IS THE TOTAL TALK TIME OF THE PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE?
Karaduman, who asked questions for the Minister of Culture Ersoy to answer, "How many party leaders, ministers, ex-ministers, deputies, ex-deputies have been invited to TRT-affiliated channels from the 24 June 2018 elections to this day, on a yearly basis? How was the distribution of the invitation and speaking time of the party chairpersons during the aforementioned dates? How was the distribution of invitation and speaking time of former and current ministers during the said dates? Which minister was invited the most? How many of the former and current deputies hosted on TRT screens during the said dates are members of the People's Alliance? What is the total speaking time of the People's Alliance party members?" he asked.
