Labour unions demand 15% welfare share, 45% raise for the first 6 months

"Türk-İş" and "Hak-İş" labour unions announced their request for a joint raise regarding the 2023-2024 Public Collective Bargaining Agreement Framework Protocol.

Confederations demanded a 15 percent welfare share and a 45 percent raise for the first 6 months of the protocol, which concerns 700 thousand public workers.
 
The 2023-2024 Public Collective Bargaining Agreement Framework Protocol negotiations, which concern more than 700 thousand workers in public institutions and organizations, including highways, railways, special provincial administrations, sugar factories, power generation plants, coal enterprises, universities and hospitals, have been concluded.
 
Türk-İş and Hak-İş announced their joint raise demand. According to the protocol, the confederations demanded a 15 percent welfare share and a 45 percent raise for the first 6 months.
 

GROSS MONTHLY FEES SHOULD BE WITHDRAWN TO 15 THOUSAND TL

 
In the first place of the protocol text, the demand for regulation of the gross monthly wages of public workers as of the effective date of collective bargaining agreements was also included. It demanded that the wages of workers whose monthly gross bare wages are below 15 thousand TL should be reduced to 15 thousand TL, that after this arrangement, 15 percent welfare share should be added to all wages and a 45 percent increase in the first six months.
 

SOCIAL AID AMOUNTS REQUESTED TO INCREASE

 
In the protocol, which includes requests regarding the increase in monthly wages after the first 6 months, it was demanded that an increase of 45 percent in the first 6 months and 5 percent in the gross bare wages of the workers in the other 6 months.
 
In the protocol, which also includes requests for additional disbursement payments, there was a request for the completion of bonus days to 60 days in enterprises with less than 60 days of bonus days and the payment of 2 thousand 500 TL net each month for 2023 and 3 thousand 500 TL each month for 2024 as social assistance to the workers within the scope of Collective Bargaining Agreements.
 

PROTOCOL DELIVERED TO MINISTRY AND TUHIS

 
It was stated that the 2023-2024 Public Collective Bargaining Agreement Framework Protocol prepared by Hak-İş and Türk-İş has been submitted to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and TÜHİS.
 
In the name of Turk-Is of the protocol; Ramazan Ağar and Eyüp Alemdar, on behalf of Hak-İş; It was recorded that it was given by Yunus Değirmenci and Dr. Osman Yıldız.
