Felicity (Saadet) Party Secretary General Mesut Doğan stated that the main goal of the regulations that the government hastily passed from the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) in the last few days is not “the citizens' livelihood, but an election investment” and said, "The solution is not for the government to reduce Value Added Tax (VAT), but for the nation to change the government. Change of the government, means the end of the cost of living, the end of the loss of real income, and the decrease in inflation.”

“The Erdogan government cannot lower prices, raise revenues, what is it doing? As the rate of votes decreases in the polls, it lowers the VAT rates. The solution is not for the government to reduce VAT, but for the people to change the government,” Doğan added.

Saadet Party Secretary General Mesut Doğan reacted harshly to the government's failure to fulfill its promises made in every election period. Evaluating the developments in the economy, Doğan said in a written statement, “The People’s Alliance government has not been fulfilled the 3600 Additional Indicator promise in four years, and says that it will still be out of the Parliament in July; which makes sentences about Retirement Age Victims but does not submit a proposal; quickly passes the election law proposal through the commission and sends it to the General Assembly. The nation's concern is livelihood, the People's Alliance's concern is election.”

WE NEED TO SAVE THE NATION FROM GOVERNMENT’S LOSERNESS

Stating that the economic crisis is growing day by day due to the wrong policies of the government, Doğan added, “The People's Alliance government, which produces the livelihood problem and makes it worse with its mismanagement instead of solving it, with the election law amendment; it wants to both change the agenda and lay the groundwork for its electoral games. On one side of the cost of living, which makes it difficult to earn a living, there is an increase in prices, and on the other side, there is a decrease in people's incomes in real terms. The Erdogan government cannot lower prices, raise revenues, what is it doing? As the rate of votes decreases in the polls, it lowers the VAT rates. The solution is not for the government to lower VAT, but for the nation to change the government. The change of the government means; end of cost of living, end of the loss of real income, inflation falling. It is necessary to save the nation from unhappiness and the state from being loser, and bring felicity to it.”
