Turkish Airlines drew the world’s largest Turkish flag in the skies to mark the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.
A passenger plane drew the flag in a special flight numbered TK1920, as thousands of people watched it on Flight Radar.
Deeming the flight “historic,” the airline is set to air a commercial regarding it from its social media accounts at 19:20 p.m.
The National Sovereignty and Children’s Day is a public holiday in Turkey commemorating the foundation of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on April 23, 1920.
