While 11 articles of the bill on the restructuring, which is the biggest promise of the government in the last period, were accepted in the General Assembly of the Assembly, the 10 percent additional tax, such as the temporary earthquake tax introduced after 1999, was met with reaction, contrary to the expectations of the companies.
 
It is estimated that around 90-100 thousand companies will pay additional taxes with the law.
 
Companies experienced additional tax shock while waiting for a comprehensive restructuring arrangement from the government.
 
Additional tax came out of the Bill of Law on Restructuring Some Receivables and Amending Certain Laws, which companies look forward to due to economic difficulties.
 
The law proposal for structuring, which is the biggest promise of the government in the last period, continues to be discussed in the General Assembly of the Assembly.
 
Contrary to expectations, the tax base and tax increase for 2022 was not included in the scope of the law, and the proposal, which envisages a one-time levy of 10 percent additional tax from companies that declared exceptions and reductions in the 2022 fiscal year Corporate Tax returns, was accepted in the Parliament.
 
EARTHQUAKE TAX AGAIN AFTER 24 YEARS
 
The imposition of a tax, such as the temporary earthquake tax introduced after 1999, from the restructuring that the government has launched as the most comprehensive restructuring in the history of the Republic, was met with a reaction in the business world.
 
It was stated that the additional tax was introduced in order to eliminate the negative effects of the Kahramanmaraş earthquake, to meet the urgent needs of our citizens and to provide resources for the reconstruction of the region.
 

10 PERCENT ADDITIONAL TAX WILL BE TAKEN FOR ONE TIME

 
For this purpose, in the 2022 Corporate Tax declaration, the exceptions and deductions that are subject to deduction from the corporate income by showing in the sections "Exemptions and discounts that can be deducted even if there is a loss" and "Exemptions and discounts that can be deducted if there is a profit" An additional 10 percent tax will be charged for a one-time basis on the “Based on the reduced Corporate Tax”.
 
It is estimated that around 90-100 thousand companies that will declare exceptions and discounts in the Corporate Tax declaration for the 2022 accounting period will pay additional taxes.
