Karaduman, who submitted a parliamentary question to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey with the request of the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli to answer, asked whether the regions burned in the forest fires in the holiday regions were zoned for construction.
DOES THE MINISTRY HAVE ANY WORK?
Karaduman stated that forest fires of unknown origin are increasing in holiday regions.
"It is essential for your ministry to both work to prevent these fires and to clarify the allegations regarding these forest fires, which have caused the public to react that "the place is burned as much as the hotel and villa land," Karaduman said.
Karaduman asked 5 questions to the Minister of Agriculture Pakdemirli and asked the following:
"What is the number of forest fires recorded in Turkey in 2018, 2019, 2020 and in the first six months of 2021? In which provinces and in which locations did these fires occur? What is the number of people killed and injured in these forest fires? What work has been done to restore the burned forest lands? How many hectares of burned forest areas have been rehabilitated? How many hectares of the burned areas were zoned for construction?"
