While the citizens began to have serious problems with housing, the interest in the social housing project announced by the government revealed the housing crisis. REMAIN DEBT TO BE PAİD
Despite Erdoğan's announcement that he will make a 25 percent discount for home and business buyers who want to pay their debts in cash and get their title deeds this year at TOKİ, the debt difference between the remaining debt and the one-time payment attracted attention. Thousands of citizens who have debts in TOKİ state that the difference between the remaining debt and the one-time payment has increased. The debt of a citizen who reaches our newspaper to TOKİ in June is 401,000 Turkish Liras (TL), and the debt that must be paid in once is 410,000 TL. After the last discount decision, the debt of the same citizen to TOKİ in September decreased to 392,000 TL, but the debt of the same citizen increased to 425,000 TL. Citizens want a 25 percent debt reduction on the remaining debt.
CITIZEN'S DEBT TO TOKİ 27 BILLION TL
Thousands of citizens who want to own a house are dragged into debt swamp. In particular, the recession in the economy also alarmed the citizens, while the citizens owed 27 billion TL to TOKİ. Apart from TOKİ, it is noteworthy that citizens owe 32,9 billion TL to asset management companies. The total debt of citizens, including non-performing debts to banks, financing companies, asset management companies and TOKİ, is around 1 trillion 371 billion TL.
