The statement made by Saadet Party Ankara Provincial Women's Branch Organization Vice President Esra Cücen reminded the human tragedy in Gaza and called for boycott products not to be purchased.

Pointing out that Turkey's agricultural areas have decreased by 5 percent in the last 10 years and 12 percent in the last 19 years, Cücen stated that there has also been a decrease in agricultural areas since 2001.
Reminding the seed law enacted in 2006, Cücen said, "With this law, natural seeds were taken away from farmers and the law not to provide support to farmers using local seeds was put into effect. Turkey was a successful and self-sufficient country in agricultural production for many years. Anatolia is known as the homeland of wheat and barley, but these fertile lands are losing their production power despite all the warnings of the farmers."

Stating that structural reforms to increase Turkey's production capacity and added value should accelerate, Cücen underlined that an economy based on domestic production should be implemented.
"As women of our country, we want to use the produce of our own fields in our kitchen. We do not want to explain to our children what import means, but we want to talk about our country's riches. We want easy access to cheap and quality food. And we know that; The more our farmers earn, the more they earn 85 million. When the agricultural sector recovers, Türkiye rises! Because we are working to bring local production, local consumption and national development to life. The happiness of our country is in our own hands, not outside," Cücen added.
