Energy companies delay the bill and double the hike! This is the trick of bill!

The fact that the electricity bills, which were 150-200 TL before, exceed 500 TL with the new year's tariff hike, reveals the trap set by the energy companies for the citizens.

The first bills of the new year infuriated the citizens! Energy companies, which apply a 50 percent hike to households with a consumption below 150 kilowatt-hours with gradual pricing, delay the bills by one week and increase the consumed kilowatt-hours to more than 150.

Energy companies, which previously cut their electricity bills between 25 and 28 days, increased their billing to 33-35 days with the gradual billing period. In this way, energy companies, which enable households to exceed the 150 kilowatt-hour limit, apply a tariff of up to 125 percent hike instead of 50 percent hike.

After the exorbitant hike in electricity, the first bills came. However, this time, the big trick of the electricity companies emerged. It was noteworthy that the companies that read the invoices with 26-27 day intervals before, read the invoices 33-35 days after the New Year's hikes. Almost all households exceeded the 150 kilowatt-hour hike limit as companies delayed reading the invoices.

THE TRICK WAS REVEALED WITH THE JANUARY BILL

The most striking among the hikes announced on the first morning of the new year was undoubtedly the electricity hike, which gradually changed between 50 percent and 125 percent. While the monthly consumption of 150 kilowatt-hours is determined as the critical limit, expenditures below and above this are priced differently. Citizens need to consume less than 150 kilowatt-hours of electricity per month to be exposed to only 50 percent of the hike. When the consumption exceeds 150 kilowatt-hours, the level of hike felt also increases. The trick played by energy companies that the households exceed the critical limit was revealed with the invoice in January.

UP TO 125 PERCENT IS MADE WITH THE TRAP, INSTEAD OF 50 PERCENT!

Energy companies, which read the bills of the households every 26-27 days in the previous months, set a trap for the citizens with the entry into force of the tariff hike! Energy companies have increased the meters that they used to read in 26-27 days, up to 33-35 days with the new year, in order to get a higher rate of hike from the citizens. This way, households, normally consuming less than 150 kilowatt-hours of electricity in 26-27 days have exceeded 150 kilowatt-hours with the increase in the number of days. Under normal circumstances, the citizen, who would only pay a 50 percent hike in bills because it was under 150 kilowatt-hours, had to pay an increased bill of up to 125 percent with the trick of the energy company.

NEW YEAR'S BILLS INVOICED 1 WEEK LATE

The energy company, which had the invoice for October-November read in 25 days, had the November-December invoice read within 28 days. However, energy companies that want to benefit from the hikes in the first bill of 2022 are extending the number of days for the citizen to exceed 150 kilowatt-hours. The same energy company has the December-January bill invoiced 34 days later, enabling a significant portion of the households to exceed 150 kilowatt-hours. In this way, they earn a profit of up to 125 percent because they read the bills, which would normally receive a 50 percent increase, with a delay of about 1 week.

CITIZENS WANT THE GOVERNMENT TO SEE THE TRICK AND PUNISH IT

With the arrival of the first bills of the new year, the citizens almost revolted. Households that paid around 150 Turkish Liras (TL) electricity bills before, with the trick of energy companies, their bills approached 500 TL. The government, which does not let the citizens breathe, does not show the same sensitivity towards energy companies. Citizens want the government to see the trick set up for them by the power companies and to do what is necessary.
