The One-Million Demonstration of Land and Return is massive protests that are going to be held on March 30, 2019, and one million Gazan peaceful protesters are expected to participate.
In additions to marking the first anniversary of the Great Return March, the One-Million Demonstration of Land and Return aims to highlight the major demands of the march that are implementing the 194 UN resolution and lifting the 12-year crippling Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip.
“I urge our Palestinian people in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and aboard to march on Palestinian Land Day and take part in One-Million Demonstration of Land and Return next week,” Haniyeh said in a press release.
Haniyeh highlighted that fighting off the Israeli violations and crimes through peaceful protests across Palestine is extremely important.
Since 30 March 2018, the Palestinian people have been participating in the peaceful, popular Great March of Return protests east of Gaza to demand their right of return to their hometowns and villages from which they were expelled in 1948 and an end to the Israeli siege on the impoverished territory.
More than 250 Palestinian civilians were killed and tens of thousands others wounded during the violent Israeli crackdown on the peaceful, popular protests east of Gaza.
