Mr. Erdogan, who assassinated a 38-year-old young academic, the former Chairman of the Ülkü Ocakları, in the heart of Ankara? Who killed Sinan Ateş? Where are the murderers hiding?”
The AKP and Good Party held their weekly group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan harshly criticized opposition parties at his party's group meeting, while IYI Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener referred to the murder of former Ülkü Ocakları Chairman Sinan Ateş and criticised government.

President Erdoğan reacted harshly to the deputies who did not attend the General Assembly meetings of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and said, “I learned yesterday that unfortunately our group had difficulties in attending the General Assembly meetings. This upsets me. These folks pay their salaries out of their own cash and purse. With this salary, our deputies do this duty. But if my deputies are not present at the General Assembly, as it was yesterday, these people will not give their blessings. Whoever did not come, I do not give my blessings to them. This is no ordinary event. If you are a parliamentary candidate, my friend, you will do your duty here. If you do not fulfill it, the salaries you receive are haram, know it like this!”

Also criticizing the Joint Agreement announced by the Nation’s Alliance, Erdoğan said, “It is highly unlikely that this table will produce a document that will go beyond what we do, our goals and our vision. We do not give a chance. But we still said, 'Let's see what they did'. I wish we hadn't looked. We are sorry for ourselves, but really sorry for those who put hope in these parties.”
Erdogan stated the following about Sweden and Finland's North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) membership process: “Sweden, don't try in vain. As long as you allow my holy book, the Qur'an, to be burned and torn, we will not say 'yes' to your entry into NATO. Our view on Finland's entry into NATO is positive.”

Good Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener, while asking questions to Erdoğan about Sinan Ateş, the former President of the Grey Wolves, who was killed in Ankara last month, called for “make your choice” by saying, “You will do either what your office’s duty order to do and stand upright in the face of this baseness or bow down in the face of the murderers,” she added. Akşener said, “I will ask Erdoğan the same question in every speech until May 14.
