Saadet Party Deputy Şerafettin Kılıç made evaluations about the agenda at the meeting he held in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Kılıç called on the government to provide staff to subcontracted workers, especially those working in municipalities.

“THE PERPETRATORS SHOULD BE PUNISHED”

Kılıç regarding the attack in Istanbul, "I strongly condemn the attack on our imam-hatip teacher Galip Usta and Bilal Erdem, a member of the mosque community, in Istanbul Fatih Mosque. I wish them a speedy recovery from God Almighty. I hope that the incident will be clarified as soon as possible and the perpetrators will be punished," he said.

“12 QUARTER GOLD LOST IN THE WORKER'S POCKET”

Kılıç also touched upon economic problems and drew attention to the raises given.

"Compared to current inflation rates, all our salaried employees and retirees unfortunately continue to be impoverished. See; While in 2002, the average civil servant salary could buy 22 quarters of gold, today's average civil servant salary can only buy 10 quarters of gold. In the last 21 years, 12 quarters of gold have been evaporated from civil servant salaries. This decrease in salaries is not limited to our civil servants only. This is valid for all our other salaried employees," Kılıç added.

“100 THOUSAND SUBCONTRACTORS SHOULD BE GIVEN STAFF”

Kılıç added that local elections are approaching and workers working in municipalities are worried about unemployment.

"We have local elections ahead of us. Another group that is remembered close to the elections and forgotten after the elections is our subcontracted workers. We currently have approximately 100 thousand subcontracted workers working in municipalities; He expects working conditions to improve and at least some job security. As local elections approach, it is necessary to make a regulation that will provide assurance to these workers who live with the worry of 'Will I be unemployed if the municipality changes hands?' The dismissal of our workers, who have gained experience by working within the municipality for a certain period of time, when the municipality changes hands, both reduces the quality of the work done and victimizes the workers. Regulation must be made to eliminate these grievances. All these employees demand job security. In accordance with the promises it made years ago, the government should no longer turn a deaf ear to the voices of our subcontracted workers. The necessary arrangements must be made immediately. Improving the working conditions of our workers and providing at least job security is not a blessing, but their most natural right," Kılıç stated.
