The October data of the 'Violence in Health Report', which is regularly announced every month by Sağlık-Sen Union, was shared with the public.

In the report, which pointed out that violence in the field of health is more common than in other business lines, it was stated that while it is not possible to enter other public institutions with a deadly and injuring tool such as a weapon, health centers can be entered by anyone in any way in this situation. 
 

“EMPLOYEE WORK INSIDE WITH FEAR AND PANIC” 

 
In the report, which draws attention to the fact that the 2 incidents of violence experienced in October are examples of freedom in entering hospitals, an attacker shot the nurse with a pistol in the family health center where she worked in the attack occured in Karaman. It was noted that the seriously injured nurse lost one of her kidneys. In the other incident, it was reminded that health workers were attacked during the food boycott in Diyarbakır. It was stated that the events experienced caused the health workers to feel insecure, and it was stated that the employees carried out their work in fear and panic. 
 

“VIOLENCE CASES OCCURED IN HOSPITALS” 

 
It was stated that exposure of healthcare workers to violence throughout October, 32 aggressors carried out the 19 violence cases, 36 health workers were victims. It was stated that 13 of the 19 violent incidents experienced during the month were caused by patients and their relatives, while 6 of them were caused by ignorant people. 18 of the violence cases, were both verbal and actual, and 1 was verbal. In the report, which also includes information about the points where the violent incidents took place, it was noted that 14 of the violent incidents took place in the hospital and 5 in the field. It was recorded that 13 emergency medical technicians, 8 security guards, 5 doctors, 4 nurses, 1 pharmacist and 5 other health workers were victims of violence during the month. While it was pointed out that the decisions of the courts regarding the people who caused the violence were insufficient, no action was taken against 7 of the 32 attackers who caused the violence. Twenty detained attackers were released. It was stated that 5 attackers were arrested.
