A strike decision is made after the collective bargaining process that started on October 26, 2021 at the Ministry of Family and Social Services and continued between the employer union TÜHİS and the worker union Öz Sağlık-İş Union. The workers' side decided to strike because their demands were not accepted.

The announcement of the strike decision is hung by the Chairman of the Öz Sağlık-İş Union, Devlet Sert, at the Saray Disabled Life Center affiliated to the Ministry of Family and Social Services. With the decision they took, the union management will go on strike in more than 1,200 institutions across Turkey on April 29.
“OUR LEGAL DEMANDS WERE NOT PROVIDED”
Making a statement about the strike decision they took, the union management noted that the employers' side had an uncompromising attitude in the negotiations that have been going on since October. In the statement, which stated that social service workers demanded a life befitting human dignity, the statement said, “Although positive negotiations were held both with Derya Yanık, Minister of Family and Social Services, and Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, an agreement could not be reached with the employer's union.”
