Saadet Party is going to congress. Interesting events take place during the congress process. This is especially the indirect or direct interventions and influences of the ruling parties or others into this political movement.
 
Since the 1977 National Salvation Party (MSP) Congress, similar situations have been experienced in almost every congress until today. At the beginning of situations that seem like internal turmoil, some circles tried to influence and direct them by putting them in a rut. Those who made these influences eventually broke away by not being able to adapt to this structure. When they failed to direct this political movement and movement of thought according to themselves, they went on their main path.
 
I remember what happened during the period when this political movement, in which I was actively involved, experienced the most intense and became the first party. At that time, I also spoke at the Istanbul Provincial Court.
 
If it is remembered that there were Nazlı Ilıcak, Ali Coşkun and many liberals of that period, my attitude can be understood. Briefly, what I said to those who came from outside and participated in Millî Görüş movement was as follows:
 
“You can have a thought and a belief. This is not just a political movement, but also a movement of thought. No one has the right to change or transform it. However, this movement can renew itself without breaking with its essence. A liberal transformation cannot be allowed.”
 
Some people were offended by my speech, but generally it attracted attention.
 
Returning to today, Millî Görüş is both a political movement and a movement of thought. In the past, this movement was blocked many times, closed down, and its path was tried to be cut off.
 
It is known that in this movement in the past, those who belonged to the belief of Islamic thought almost spoke in bird language. This is the reason why the movement is called "Millî Görüş".
 
While explaining this, it was said, "The view and belief of this nation". It is not directly expressed in terms of Islam and related concepts. It has not been avoided to say that the most obvious act was "jihad".
 
Today, indirect or symbolic definitions are no longer needed. The following basic concepts can now be expressed easily.
 
You are from Islamic civilization. Every civilization is based on religious roots. As in the examples of Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism. Our civilization is the civilization of the prophets. It starts from Prophet Adam and comes to the present day.
 
You are from the nation of Islam. This concept is much more needed today. Because we are going through a process where racism is taking its toll, our nation is divided into pieces, and sectarianism is turned into a conflict zone. If Milli Görüş is a movement of thought, it should especially clarify its stance on these concepts. In the past, a verse or a hadith could not be given as an example, but today the political parties that seem to be at the farthest talk about verses and hadiths, the Farewell Sermon, and Omar's (r.a.) justice.
 
Milli Görüş has the chance to embrace this nation as a whole. This civilization has an effect on the essence and spirit of almost all segments of society. When you talk to people who seem to be the most extreme in a beautiful language, it is seen that they are not far from you.
 
There is a chance to renew itself without breaking with the essence and spirit, this is very necessary. Each segment is unaware of what is going on outside of the cocoon they are in. Those who stand in their cocoon think the world is theirs. However, there are other worlds out there. You cannot be a stranger to these worlds. This requires a new and original language, attitude and behavior.
 
There is something that I have been thinking about for a long time. The psychological, sociological and new time style of the society necessitates a new language and perspective.
 
Especially at this time when hostility towards “Arabs” and “Kurds” is fueled, one should be more careful. This nation is one. I also ask myself what is the effect of preaching culture and outlook. What is the influence of preachers and similar speaking speakers?
 
If it has an effect, why can there be a congregation that does not exceed three rows in time prayers in mosques? However, there is a humanity flowing like a flood outside. Will they be strangers? The main thing should be looked at to exist without breaking with the essence and without compromising the personalities.
