The fact that the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has not published a list of imitation and adulteration in food for a year has confused the minds.

While the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has not published the list of imitation and adulteration for a year, Minister Pakdemirli's statements that they will not let those who play with the health of the public by launching a food inspection campaign across Turkey were seen as a great dishonesty. While the list of imitation and adulteration, which should be published at least 3 times a year, has not been published for 1 year, different claims have been brought to the agenda, while the allegations spoken in the corridors of the ministry fell like a bomb on the agenda.

While the counterfeit and adulteration list for fraudulent food producers was last published on September 15, 2020, the ministry has not published any disclosure list since then. While the disclosure list should normally be published at least 3 times a year, the fact that no disclosure list has been published since September 15, 2020 raises different claims.

NOT ANY DISCLOSURE LIST WAS PUBLISHED IN 2021

Despite the end of 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will almost go down in history by not publishing any counterfeit and adulteration lists in 2021. While serious allegations are circulating in the corridors of the Ministry about not publishing the counterfeit and adulteration list, the timing of the food inspection campaign initiated by Minister Pakdemirli the previous day is also significant. As it is known, Minister Pakdemirli announced that he started a "Food Inspection Mobilization" in 81 provinces, and claimed that thousands of enterprises would be inspected during the 4-day mobilization. In fact, Minister Pakdemirli claimed that they would not let those who play with the health of the citizens during the inspections, in order to demonstrate their so-called sincerity in food inspections.

AUDIT IS MADE, BUT THE MANUFACTURERS OF COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS ARE NOT ANNOUNCED

While it is significant in terms of timing, Minister Pakdemirli's so-called food inspection mobilization throughout Turkey, at a time when the counterfeit adulteration list has not been published for a year for the disclosure of fraudulent product manufacturers, "why are the counterfeit and adulteration lists not published?" raised the question.

While serious allegations about not publishing counterfeit and adulteration lists came to the fore, the first of these claims that a fraudulent product was detected in a product sold in Agricultural Credit Markets and that pork was found in the products of a catering company that also provides food to public institutions in Bolu, fell on the agenda like a bomb.

WILL THE COMMISSION DECIDE ON THE PUBLICATION OF COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS?

It is noted that there is serious pressure on the ministry not to publish the disclosure lists, and it is emphasized that the ministry is looking for a way out in the face of these pressures. While establishing a commission for this purpose, it is stated that this commission will decide whether there is intent in the detected fraudulent products, and if there is no intent, if there is fraudulent production due to fault, these products will be removed from the disclosure list. While the establishment of such a commission in question drew a reaction in the sector, it is emphasized that the desired company can be acquitted very easily through this commission.
